Donation Options

Thank you to everyone who has donated items and hay/haylage and straw. We are so grateful! We were also given the opportunity to purchase a loader at a very affordable rate and so we want to thank the lovely people selling it to us and to my long suffering parter for buying it for us. It has been incredibly useful and back saving!

We also had a strimmer donated! Yay! Thank you so much to Danny and his late family member for the donation. It's really helpful as our main base has alot of brambles and bits that need constant 'taming' 🤣

Winter has been hard for us and everyone with livestock. Locally it has been really wet and this does create some mud which isn't helpful but alas we press on. At our main yard we have to move most of the horses into stables that aren't already stabled in order to preserve the fields nicely. They do go out as and when it's appropriate and some do have part time jobs 😆 if you can call being ridden for half an hour once or so a week a job! Haha I'm sure Nemo will ask for a raise soon! Last year we went out and did some jumping with Nemo and one of our other ponies. Nemo was exceptional (when isn't he? Haha) He came first with one rider and 3rd with the 2nd rider. Amazing riding from both on the day. Sadly this year one decided riding perhaps wasn't quite working out and we do wish them all the best. We hope to get out to more jumping soon! Our very own 'farmer and cowboy' Jason will be taking one if his rescue horses out to a special clinic this year which he and the horse love to do. They deserve it so much, we literally couldn't be to the scale we are without Jason. There's no amount of words that are good enough for him.

Rescues.. never ending is it? We were contacted late last year regarding a very large dog that needed urgent placement and originally I had said I wasn't sure because I didn't know how I would find a home for such a large specialist dog. Low and behold I remembered someone that I know had been looking at s similar dog in a foreign rescue and so I asked them if they were still looking and they said yes! No guarantee of course but alas potential meant that I was willing to take a chance on this dog. I'm so glad we did because she was absolutely lovely! Poor girl had been abandoned and was on death row. Assessments, vets and quarantine period over, the potential adopters could meet her and well it was love at first sight! Having owned a similar dog before meant they were experienced enough. The deciding factor though was their current dog who is very picky about who he gets along with. Well it's been a few weeks now and the two are inseparable! Plenty more training and bits to be done with the big girl but she has been super so far and a quick learner! We are so so glad we helped her after meeting her and her being so soppy and sweet we wouldn't have wanted to think of her being put down.

So our mission continues!

None of us take a wage or any sort of 'loan' or payment from the rescue at all with the exception of paying back when we can if things have had come out of our own pockets (which the mostly always do) We rarely receive monetary donations so it takes every penny myself and my partner have along with help from family in order to function here so your donations will be so amazing. If you want to donate specially for certain animals or things please put this in a message when you donate and we will ensure your donations goes for whatever you want it to go for. I.e. vet bills, hay, dog food, certain animals or whatever you prefer. If no preference then we will use it for whatever is priority at that time.
